Coinbase Backed Securitize Launches Ready Program Aimed To Simplify Token Issuance Process
Securitize, a Coinbase backed security token company has announced “Securitize Ready Program” – which is a referral network designed to help companies issue and manage digital securities. Securitize is basically an issuance platform that helps digitize securities on the blockchain. The company has partnered with various exchanges, broker-dealers, crypto custodians and other financial infrastructures for issuing security tokens. This is done via their innovative Digital Securities Protocol which enables seamless trading activity across multiple markets simultaneously while also meeting with compliance requirements of various regulatory bodies. The newly launched program is aimed at accelerating the adoption of their Securitize platform and DS protocol by enabling the companies in referral network to easily issue and manage digital securities.
The company aims to provide an automated compliance platform for security tokens via the use of Securitize’s DS protocol to ensure the whole process from on-boarding to issuance and investor management meets compliance requirements and guidelines of major regulatory bodies. The network is made up of their partners Rialto Trading, Open Finance, Coinbase custody, and CBlock Capital and facilitates members who join the referral network to use various services provided by these companies in their issuance platform. The above-mentioned list is just some of their partners and the company has also expressed interest in adding more partners in the future. According to securitize, even the clients of their partner companies can use the platform to issue their own security tokens using the company’s resource made up of broker-dealers, lawyers and advisory firms to ensure that their tokens meet regulatory guidelines. Steven Lucido, head of the program has commented that
“Securitize Ready frees partners to focus on their core business while providing their clients access to the industry’s most widely adopted issuance and lifecycle management technology. It represents a win-win for both partners and the issuers they work with.”
The Securitize platform provides some of the most cutting edge features in the market such as – Built-in global regulatory compliance coded into the DS protocol, liquidity from global markets around the clock across the year, facility to program and automate share buy-backs, voting, and dividends and allows fractional ownership. These features have helped companies such as 22x, SPiCE VC, Blockchain Capital, and Augmate improve the sales of digital securities. To further improve efficiency in sale and tokenization of securities by eliminating friction and middlemen, Securitize has formed a partnership with OTCXN, a blockchain infrastructure company to make use of their custodial ledger system. This collaboration enables both companies to provide service that will help institutional traders deal with tokenized crypto assets while avoiding settlement risk associated with traditional systems.
Earlier this year, Securitize joined the IBM blockchain accelerator program and according to reports, Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo has stated: “that the goal of the company is to build a debt issuance platform using blockchain technology.”
